The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Sports Commission (HRSC) is a nonprofit organization formed with the purposes of informing, educating and inspiring individuals in the area about sport and physical activity.
HRSC programs are designed to accomplish the goal of fulfilling our mission and accomplishing the vision of becoming the most vibrant and active community. There are four primary types of programs run by the HRSC:
Some programs are run throughout the year. For example, youth grants are available for application by qualifying nonprofit organizations on a quarterly basis and the HRSC website is constantly updating the education page to provide the latest research on various topics. Whereas, community and sport business programs may be implemented when requested or needed.
